Premier Energies commissions 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line in Hyderabad

The company is currently working on enhancing its cell and module production capacity to 8.4 GW and 11.1 GW respectively by June 2026

Premier Energies has commissioned its new 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line at Fab City, Hyderabad, Telangana. The company is one of the first few solar manufacturers in India to operationalize a TOPCon production line, capable of delivering solar cell efficiencies exceeding 25%. The advanced 16-busbar architecture enhances power density and ensures superior energy yield under real-world conditions. The 1.2 GW cell line adds significantly to the company’s high-efficiency manufacturing capabilities and marks another major step in its progress towards next-generation solar technologies. 

The company is currently working on enhancing its cell and module production capacity to 8.4 GW and 11.1 GW respectively by June 2026. The commissioning supports the company’ strategic roadmap of high-efficiency, vertically integrated manufacturing -- from ingots and wafers to cells and modules -- in alignment with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat.
