Shipping Corporation of India has executed a Memorandum of Agreement for the acquisition of two second-hand Very Large Gas Carriers

Rail Vikas Nigam has received letter of acceptance (LoA) worth around Rs 143.37 crore from Southern Railway for upgradation work of electric traction system from 1x25 kv to 2x25 kv traction system from Salem Jn. (SA)-Podanur Jn. (PTJ) & Irugur (IGU)-Coimbatore Jn. (CBE)-Podanur Jn. (PTJ) section of salem division of Southern Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target. The order is to be executed within 24 months.
BEML has bagged two separate export order, one order from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region for supply of Heavy-Duty Bulldozers and the second order from Uzebekistan (Maiden Order) for supply of High-performance Motor Grader. Total contract value is around $6.23 million.
Biocon’s subsidiary -- Biocon Biologics has received marketing authorisations in the United Kingdom (UK) for Vevzuo and Evfraxy, biosimilars of Denosumab, from Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Vevzuo is authorized for the prevention of skeletal related events (pathological fracture, radiation to bone, spinal cord compression or surgery to bone) in adults with advanced malignancies involving bone. Evfraxy is authorized for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and in men at increased risk of fractures. In postmenopausal women this significantly reduces the risk of vertebral, non-vertebral, and hip fractures.
Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the acquisition of two second-hand Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs) having a cargo carrying capacity of around 82,000 CBM. These two VLGCs are expected to be inducted into the SCI’s fleet during the current quarter of FY 2025-26. This agreement is a part of SCI’s business expansion plans and to augment the company’s tonnage capacity.
Affle 3i has been granted another patent in India. This grant further builds upon its previously granted IPs that collectively strengthen the quality and effectiveness of the company’s conversion-driven CPCU model, as the company further fortify its AI-powered consumer platform stack. The patent’s subject area is ‘Method and system to detect advertisement fraud’ and it is aimed at addressing the challenge of detecting and filtering out fraudulent activities in digital advertising, with particular focus on identifying traffic generated through artificial or incentivized means. It introduces a real-time, machine learning-powered monitoring framework that analyzes user engagements in defined time intervals across a plurality of connected devices, including smartphones, smart/connected TVs, wearables etc. and across a diverse range of advertising formats including video ads.
Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co (KSOE), South Korea, on July 04, 2025. The MoU sets the stage for long term cooperation between the two companies in various domains of shipbuilding and maritime development. The MoU covers the joint exploration of new building opportunities in India and abroad; sharing of technical expertise to scale up to the global standards in shipbuilding; identification of initiatives to enhance productivity and capacity utilization; joint efforts to upskill and strengthen workforce; and exploration of potential collaboration in other shipbuilding-related projects.
