Crude oil futures ended lower on Thursday as investors assessed reports of America’s renewed efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Meanwhile, market participants remained cautious about US’ sanctions on Russian oil exports targeting two of its major corporations, Rosneft and Lukoil. The sanctions are set to take effect beginning on November 21, 2025.

Benchmark crude oil futures for December decreased $0.30 or 0.50% at $59.14 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for January delivery declined $0.13 or 0.20% to settle at $63.38 a barrel on London's Intercontinental Exchange.
