The company has secured order worth Rs 53.33 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India
Transformers & Rectifiers(India) has secured order worth Rs 53.33 crore from Power Grid Corporation ofIndia. The order is for repair, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 397MVA HVDC Converter Transformer and related works. The transformers are to be delivered by next financial year.
It is an HVDC ConverterTransformer order, and the company is the first Indian Origin Private SectorCompany to receive such an order. With this order, the company has entered into ‘unique club of HVDC transformer manufacturers of world’. This opens majoropportunities for the company in the HVDC segment. This will also strengthenthe government of India’s ‘Make in India’ vision as well as domestic consumers willhave an Indigenous manufacturer of HVDC Transformers.
