UltraTech Cement commissions additional grinding capacity in Uttar Pradesh
This capacity enhancement is part of the Company’s ongoing expansion program aimed at strengthening its presence in high-growth markets
UltraTech Cement has commissioned additional new grinding capacity of 2.7 mtpa at its Aligarh unit in Uttar Pradesh. With this commissioning, the total cement grinding capacity of the Aligarh unit now stands at 4.0 mtpa and increasing the company’s capacity to 13.1 mtpa in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This capacity enhancement is part of the company’s ongoing expansion program aimed at strengthening its presence in high‑growth markets.
This will enhance the Company’s ability to service the markets more efficiently, improving market reach and logistics optimization. Consequent to the above, the company’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity stands at 191.36 mtpa. Alongwith its overseas capacity of 5.4 mtpa, the company’s global capacity stands at 196.76 mtpa.
UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India.
