Bond yields trade flat on Tuesday
The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading flat with its previous close of 6.76% on Monday
Bond yields traded flat on Tuesday amid commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal will hold a meeting with representatives of export promotion councils and industry associations on February 11 amid finalisation of trade pacts with the US and the European Union.
In the global market, yield on the US 10-year Treasury edged up on Monday, as investors braced for a data-heavy week expected to provide further insight into the health of the US economy. Furthermore, oil prices rose on Monday after the U.S. Department of Transportation issued an advisory to U.S.-flagged vessels to stay as far as possible from Iranian territory while voyaging through the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading flat with its previous close of 6.76% on Monday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 4 basis points lower at 6.53% from its previous close of 6.57% on Monday.
