With reference to its earlier intimations dated December 31, 2025 on the Orders received by the Company from GST Commissionerate, Bengaluru for: i) alleged wrong classification and consequential short payment of GST for supply of Works Contract services amounting to INR 1,20,38,078/- plus applicable interest and a penalty of INR 1,20,38,078/-; and ii) assessment undertaken on the outcome of routine GST compliance Audit under Section 65 of the CGST Act, 2017 for the period from FY 2018-19 to 2022-23 amounting to INR 23,21,411/- VA Tech Wabag has informed that the Company had filed writ petitions before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka challenging the above Orders and the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has passed Orders (received by the Company on February 11, 2026) granting interim stay of the respective impugned Orders. Accordingly, the operation and implementation of the said Orders-in-Original stand stayed until further orders of the Hon’ble High Court. The Company will be intimating further developments in due course.
