Bond yields trade higher on Friday

The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 6 basis points higher at 6.73% from its previous close of 6.67% on Thursday

Bond yields traded higher on Friday as India's private sector activity strengthened further in February, with the HSBC Flash India PMI Composite Output Index rising to 59.3 from 58.4 in January, marking the strongest rate of expansion in three months. 

In the global market, U.S. Treasury yields moved lower on Thursday as investors reacted to the latest home sales data and looked ahead to the key inflation report. 

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 6 basis points higher at 6.73% from its previous close of 6.67% on Thursday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.45% from its previous close of 6.41% on Thursday.
