Bond yields trade higher on Tuesday
The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.98% from its previous close of 6.94% on Monday
Bond yields traded higher on Tuesday as India and New Zealand have inked a free trade agreement (FTA) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
In the global market, 10- year U.S. Treasury yields were higher Monday, as investors looked ahead to the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting. Furthermore, Oil prices went up on Monday amid renewed geopolitical tensions and concerns over supply disruptions after the United States seized an Iranian cargo vessel, raising doubts about the continuation of the current ceasefire, with Iran signaling possible retaliation.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.98% from its previous close of 6.94% on Monday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 4 basis points higher at 6.72% from its previous close of 6.68% on Monday.
