Ashok Leyland reports 9% rise in April sales

The company’s total domestic sales in April 2026 stood at 14,242 units

Ashok Leyland has reported 9.13% rise in its total sales, including exports, at 14,646 units in April 2026 as compared to 13,421 units in April 2025. During April 2026, the company’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales grew 16% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to 6,344 units. Further, its Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) Trucks sales rose 15% to 7,007 units in April 2026 compared to 6,119 units in previous year same month. Besides, M&HCV Bus sales decreased 30% to 1,295 units in April 2026 as compared to 1,841 units in April 2025.

The company’s total domestic sales in April 2026 stood at 14,242 units, a growth of 14% Y-o-Y. Its domestic LCV sales increased 23% to 6,265 units in April 2026. Moreover, its domestic M&HCV Trucks sales grew 15% to 6,814 units in April 2026, while domestic M&HCV bus sales decreased 22% to 1,163 units in April 2026.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
