Bond yields trade higher on Friday
The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 2 basis points higher at 6.68% from its previous close of 6.66% on Thursday
Bond yields traded higher on Friday despite India and Chile have agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, health and pharmaceuticals, science and technology, and other sectors.
In the global market, the yield on the US 10-year Treasury note edged up on Thursday amid escalating conflict with Iran. Furthermore, price of oil soared on Thursday as the International Energy Agency warned the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran was creating the largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 2 basis points higher at 6.68% from its previous close of 6.66% on Thursday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 2 basis points higher at 6.37% from its previous close of 6.35% on Thursday.
