Maruti Suzuki India reports 17% rise in total sales in March
Total domestic vehicle sales grew 11.37% to 1,78,211 units in March 2026 compared to 1,60,016 units in the same month last year
Maruti Suzuki India has reported an 16.72% rise in total sales (Domestic + Export) to 2,25,251 units in March 2026 as compared to sales of 1,92,984 units in March 2025. Total domestic vehicle sales grew 11.37% to 1,78,211 units in March 2026 as compared to 1,60,016 units in the same month last year.
Within this, sales of mini-segment cars - Alto and S-Presso - rose marginally to 11,741 units in March 2026, compared with 11,655 units in the same month last year. Further, sales of the company’s compact cars - including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR - grew 7.30% to 71,789 units in March 2026, from 66,906 units in March 2025.
Further, sales of utility vehicles - Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6 - increased 16.79% to 71,356 units in March 2026, from 61,097 units a year ago. Meanwhile, Eeco van sales stood at 11,333 units in March 2026, compared with 10,409 units in March 2025, reflecting a growth of 8.88%.
In addition, sales of the light commercial vehicle - Super Carry grew 34.21% to 3,209 units in March 2026 from 2,391 units in the same month last year. Besides, sales to other OEM rose 27.62% to 8,783 units in March 2026 as compared to 6,882 units March 2025. Further, the company’s exports in March 2026 stood at 47,040 units, compared with 32,968 units in March 2025, registering a jump of 42.68%.
