NMDC reports 51% rise in iron ore production in March 2026

The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 4.01 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 4.25 MT in March 2026

NMDC has registered a 50.70% rise in its iron ore production to 5.35 million tonnes (MT) in March 2026. The company had produced 3.55 MT iron ore in March last year. The sales volumes increased 40.14% to 5.90 MT in March 2026 from 4.21 MT in the same month a year ago. 

The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 4.01 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 4.25 MT in March 2026, while Karnataka mines produced 1.34 MT of iron ore and sold 1.65 MT of iron ore in March 2026.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
