MRC Agrotech commences Maize Cultivation in Malegaon

This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its agro-based value chain and contribute to rural sustainability and agri-based earnings

MRC Agrotech has commenced largescale maize cultivation operations in the month of July 2025 on 50 acres of leased farmland situated at Malegaon, District Nashik, Maharashtra.

The company is cultivating two commercially significant variants i.e Maize for Flour Production (Maize Atta) and Maize for Cattle Feed. The produce will cater to domestic demand from animal feed manufacturers, dairy farms, and flour mills, and offers significant export potential to the Middle East and Asia. Maize also has industrial applications in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, textile, and ethanol sectors.

Based on average yield and prevailing market rates, the expected gross revenue from this 50-acre project ranges between Rs 23.00 lakh and Rs 32.20 lakh, depending on climatic and market conditions. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its agro-based value chain and contribute to rural sustainability and agri-based earnings.
