Shukra Pharmaceuticals has been awarded a prestigious contract by HSCC (India) (a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs), acting on behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) on dated August 28, 2025 for the supply of Medicines and Diagnostic Kits to Afghanistan (Technical Mission of India, Kabul, Afghanistan). The Letter of Award entails a total contract value of Rs 24.06 crore for the supply of essential Medicines and Diagnostic Kits, which includes packing, forwarding, insurance, and delivery at the consignee site in Afghanistan.
National Aluminium Company (Nalco) is exploring a joint venture partnership with state-owned Coal India and power major NTPC for securing coal supply for its proposed Rs 12,000-crore power plant in Odisha. Both the power plant and the smelter unit are part of its long-term expansion plans. Nalco has lined up an investment of Rs 30,000 crore to set up a new aluminium smelter and a coal-based power plant over the next five years. Out of this, Rs 18,000 crore has been earmarked for the smelter and Rs 12,000 crore will be spent on the thermal power plant.
