Eicher Motors surges as its JV signs MoU with Jio-bp pulse

MoU aims to expand and streamline charging access for its electric commercial vehicle customers

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 6579.40, up by 154.05 points or 2.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 6425.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 6491.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6596.20 and Rs. 6449.30 respectively. So far 12419 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 6707.70 on 04-Sep-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4500.00 on 08-Oct-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6707.70 and Rs. 6084.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 180609.31 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.59% and 9.35% respectively.

Eicher Motors and Volvo Group's joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jio-bp pulse to expand and streamline charging access for its electric commercial vehicle customers. Through this collaboration, all Eicher Trucks and buses' EV customers will gain seamless access to Jio-bp's network of over 6,000 charging points, India's largest DC fast-charging footprint, across urban centres, highways, and purpose-built EV hubs capable of accommodating all types of commercial vehicles. 

Jio-bp, a fuel retail joint venture of Reliance Industries and bp, which operates under the brand name of Jio-bp pulse in the electric mobility space, has established one of the largest and fastest-growing EV charging networks in India. Under the MoU, both companies will collaborate on multiple fronts to accelerate the adoption of electric trucks and buses. While Jio-bp pulse will leverage its extensive EV charging infrastructure and expertise in providing customised charging solutions, VECV will contribute its deep knowledge in electric trucks technology, ensuring that these vehicles meet the demanding and diverse needs of end-user applications.
