Tata Power soars on acquiring 100% stake in Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission

Cost of acquisition is Rs 2.42 crore

Tata Power is currently trading at Rs. 370.75, up by 5.90 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 364.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 363.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 371.20 and Rs. 360.00 respectively. So far 539928 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 416.70 on 11-Jun-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 326.25 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 393.00 and Rs. 360.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 118275.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.85% and 26.28% respectively.

Tata Power Company has signed the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) and acquired 100% equity stake in Jejuri Hinjewadi Power Transmission (JHPTL), a project special purpose vehicle (SPV) to establish and operate Build-Own-Operate-Transfer basis for providing transmission service. Cost of acquisition is Rs 2.42 crore. The acquisition process is completed on January 9, 2026.
