Bond yields trade higher on Wednesday

The yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 02 basis points higher at 7.00% from its previous close of 6.98% on Tuesday

Bond yields traded higher on Wednesday even after government data showed that India's industrial production growth slowed down to a 5-month low of 4.1 per cent in March, mainly due to subdued performance of manufacturing and power sector amid the West Asia crisis.

In the global market, U.S. Treasury yields increased on Tuesday as investors waited for updates on U.S.-Iran talks, which had stalled over the weekend.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 02 basis points higher at 7.00% from its previous close of 6.98% on Tuesday.  

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 04 basis points higher at 6.76% from its previous close of 6.72% on Tuesday.
