NLC India gets nod to invest Rs 1,630.89 crore in wholly owned subsidiary
The company has received in principle approval to invest in NLC India Renewables for funding the Green Energy Projects to be undertaken by NIRL

NLC India has received in principle approval to invest up to Rs 1,630.89 crore in one or more tranches in its wholly owned subsidiary -- NLC India Renewables (NIRL) by way of subscription of equity shares at face value, for funding the Green Energy Projects to be undertaken by NIRL. The company’s board at its meeting held on July 7, 2025, has approved the same.
NLC India is a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal. The company is engaged in the business of mining of Lignite, Coal and generation of power by using lignite as well as Renewable Energy Sources and consultancy.
