FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per August 22 data: NSDL
The FIIs as per Friday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 12804.06 crore against gross selling of Rs 13366.40 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 562.34 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2597.15 crore with gross sales of Rs 2542.23 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 54.92 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 140.30 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 217.77 crore, while net sellers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 22.55 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 34.99 crore against gross selling of Rs 41.09 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 6.10 crore in hybrid segment.
