Tata Motors reports 17% rise in total sales in March

Total domestic vehicle sales grew 18% at 45,825 units in March 2026 as compared to 38,884 units in the same month last year

Tata Motors (TMCV) has reported 17% rise in its total sales, including domestic & international markets, at 47,976 units in March 2026 as compared to 41,122 units in the same month last year. Total domestic vehicle sales grew 18% at 45,825 units in March 2026 as compared to 38,884 units in the same month last year.

Out of which, the sales of HCV Trucks increased 14% to 14,614 units in March 2026 as compared to 12,856 units in same month year ago. Further, ILMCV Trucks sales grew 16% to 8,337 units in March 2026 against 7,181 units in March 2025. Besides, the sales of Passenger Carriers increased by 31% to 7,983 units in March 2026 vs 6,088 units in March 2025. Moreover, SCV cargo and pickup vehicles sales rose 17% to 14,891 units in March 2026 as compared to 12,759 units in the same month last year.

The company’s exports in March 2026 stood at 2,151 units as compared to 2,238 units in March 2025, registering a decline of 4%.

Meanwhile, domestic sales of Medium, Heavy, and Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (MH&ICV) increased 16% to 23,805 units in March 2026 as compared to 20,474 units in March 2025. The Domestic & International sales for MH&ICV rose 16% to 24,703 units in March 2026 as against 21,226 units in March 2025, while EV volumes saw 59% YoY growth in FY26.
