Market participants were also tracking key economic indicators, including weekly jobless claims, and industrial production data. Additionally, attention is shifting toward a fresh round of corporate earnings. 

Nasdaq surged 376.93 points or 1.6 percent to 24,016.017 and S&P 500 increased 55.57 points or 0.8 percent to 7,022.95, while Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 72.27 points or 0.15 percent to 48,463.72.
