FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per January 01 data: NSDL
The FIIs as per Thursday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 5549.09 crore against gross selling of Rs 10117.81 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 4568.72 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2863.62 crore with gross sales of Rs 446.20 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 2417.42 crore in debt.
Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 48.04 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 515.73 crore, while net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 1949.73 crore.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 22.12 crore against gross selling of Rs 45.59 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 23.47 crore in hybrid segment.
