Thomas Cook’s arm launches Sterling Vanvasa in Uttarakhand

This marks Sterling’s 8th resort in Uttarakhand, reinforcing the brand’s position as a pioneer in identifying India’s most offbeat and serene holiday destinations

Thomas Cook’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Sterling Holiday Resorts has launched Sterling Vanvasa, near Lansdowne, a tranquil hill retreat, spread over 30 acres of wooded forest, designed for premium travellers seeking a getaway to escape from the stress of urban life. This marks Sterling’s 8th resort in Uttarakhand, reinforcing the brand’s position as a pioneer in identifying India’s most offbeat and serene holiday destinations.

Located beyond Juee village, this hideaway sits at over 3,200 feet above sea level, surrounded by lush pine and sal forests, mountain air, and sweeping views of the Garhwal Himalayas. Far from the bustle of Lansdowne town and untouched by tourist crowds, Sterling Vanvasa offers guests the chance to truly disconnect and unwind - amidst nature, silence, and stunning vistas.

The resort features 33 colonial-style cottages and family suites, complete with private sit-outs and wood-lined interiors. Each room is positioned to maximise scenic views - whether of the valley below or the Ramganga river glinting in the distance. With no TVs in the rooms, guests are encouraged to slow down, breathe deep, and embrace the quiet.
